Hot, Hot, Hot!

Whew! The weather is getting hot and so is my schedule! A week and a half ago, I did a little girl’s portrait in the park. She is very very cute and such a natural in front of the camera. I don’t do a lot of posing with little ones since they are such wriggly little things! Instead, I follow them as they play and interact with the environment around them. Allie’s mom and dad were great to work with as well. They did a great job of guiding her to where I wanted her to be and getting her to look at me and smile…but they also allowed her to do her own thing and play with flowers and her baby doll. We were able to get some really great natural shots of her as well as some beautiful smiles that the parents were really looking for. What fun!
The following day, I did a shoot out at Blackbottom Stables in Summerville. I have shot Angel before and she is great to work with. Angel has been riding for 3 1/2 years and her grandmother really wanted some shots of her out at the stables in her formal riding outfit and with her instructor. Although she was feeling sick (and actually has strep throat), she did just as I asked and looked really comfortable in front of the camera (as always). Her grandma is really happy with the end result, and I hope that she looks back on these images in the future, no matter where she takes her riding, and enjoys remembering how much fun she had out at the stables.
Three shoots this week should keep me busy…I’ll post again then!
